New Boats & Logs approach to nail your nutrition and make gains

I started going to the gym around 10 years ago. And all I learned during this time can be broken down into this truth:
Training hard and maintaining consistent nutrition are the only things that matter.

And I know for a fact that not only I but most others struggle more with nutrition than with training. But unfortunately, all we do in the gym is wasted without proper nutrition.

My common advice, and what works for me, is to make a meal plan every Sunday. And the way I do it, is by pen and paper. But unfortunately, this takes a lot of time.

I’ve tried multiple different apps, but they all have at least one of these three problems:

  • simple calorie trackers → they don’t help me plan

  • not for fitness use → limited calorie / protein optimization

  • low customizability → forced to eat 3 times per day

And that’s why a friend and I have spent the last few months and hundreds of hours developing the ultimate meal planning app for gym bros. And I’m incredibly excited to share it with you today:

I’m so proud of what we have developed and all the features we have implemented and are planning to implement over the next months. But at the core, it’s incredibly simple: You decide your macros, what, and when you want to eat, and the app suggests you a meal plan.

Custom Layouts

I hate it when an app wants to dictate to me when and how much I should eat. We added a simple feature that allows you to exactly tell the app how your meal plan should look like:

Fixed Meals

Eating different meals every day is nice in theory but completely unrealistic in practice. We allow you to set fixed meals for days and meal times. Want to drink a shake every morning for weekdays and something fancy on the weekend? Easy!

You can edit fixed meals for every meal type (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, …)

Regeneration

We don’t know you, so it would be unrealistic to assume that we get your taste right on the first try. For that case, we added a simple feature to regenerate the whole day if you don’t like it:

But maybe it’s just one meal you want to change? We also added a feature if you want to replace only one meal:

It was very important to us to give all of you free access to all the basic features of the app. But as we have server costs every time you generate a meal plan or switch a meal, we have added advertisements once you reach a certain limit to cover the costs and prevent spammers.

Additionally, we have added a premium tier, which starts at <$5 per month. So, for less than one meal when you are eating out, it allows you to plan further in advance, have unlimited generations, and no ads.

As we’ve just launched, we're even offering you the option to test the premium feature for 2 weeks for free.
